New Dawn Evangelical Fellowship at a business meeting on Thursday 27th February unanimously appointed their first Pastor, Pastor Stephen Dickinson who has taken up ministry with New Dawn from 1st March. Michael Johnston, an elder in the New Dawn Fellowship said ‘this is a very exciting time for us in New Dawn. We are delighted to have got to the stage of being able to appoint our first Pastor. New Dawn celebrates its 1st Anniversary on 31st March (D.V.) and we have come a long way in our first year. We have been so pleased with how people have been joining with us at our Worship Services and now that we have our own Pastor we will be working to encourage others to join with us too’.

Pastor Stephen Dickinson in reply said – ‘I am thrilled to have been unanimously appointed as the Pastor in New Dawn Evangelical Fellowship. It will be a joy and pleasure to serve alongside the leadership team and develop the work of New Dawn in the local community in the days ahead. We will be inviting all ages to come along and enjoy something new and refreshing. We plan to be a community based Fellowship welcoming all, and providing a warm, caring, loving environment for people to think through what is offered to them in the gospel and to build up those who have already trusted Christ in living and serving Him. We have a helpline already in place 02895811999 for anyone who would like to contact us and we will try our best to help and support them or if they would like us to pray for them or with them. Our worship services are uplifting as we sing old and new songs of praise with a message from a great God to thrill hearts and transform lives. I believe that New Dawn has got something special to offer in the local Broughshane area and beyond, that will be different from what is already there, a work that we believe will be the dawning of something wonderful in people’s lives! New Dawn has the opportunity to create a new identity for itself in a society where many people have either no interest in the established churches or have fallen way from them for one reason or another. New Dawn is prepared to step into that gap in Jesus name!’

Michael Johnston added – ‘New Dawn will welcome all who would like to come along and share with us. Our Fellowship Time is at 12 noon each Sunday and our Gospel Time is at 7.00pm. There is Creche for the infants at our 12 noon and 7pm Services and Children’s Church at the 12 noon service for children up to age 9. We have singers at the Gospel times and the service is followed by tea and biscuits giving us the opportunity to mix and enjoy each other’s company and get to know the new people who come along’
