What a weekend at New Dawn, it is fantastic that people with so many different skills have been brought together to serve the Lord under the banner of New Dawn, in the past three days we took on and accomplished the following:
The Ballymena Show
The Ballymena show which began on Friday evening, pictures from this are on our Facebook page or a sample of them can be found here. If you wanted to see the most fun stand, with the most people congregated around, it had to be undoubtedly the stand at New Dawn. Armed with an array of free gifts and weeks of planning New Dawn was free to evangelise, and what a reception we received. New Dawn would first like to thank all the people who were so interested in the work we are doing within Broughshane and the surrounding areas, perhaps not surprising lots of people were already aware of New Dawn and the work we are involved in. Also we could not have made the show such a success without the many individuals of New Dawn who gave up their time and entered into the spirit of the event with such enthusiasm, thank you.
Our Move to the Community Centre
During this event members of New Dawn still found the time to plan the move into Broughshane Community Centre. We had an amazing morning of Fellowship, with some visitors welcoming and enjoying our first Service. A big thank you to all the people behind the scenes that worked tirelessly and have made this move possible on such a busy weekend; and greeted with an enthusiastic response.
The weather was kind to us as more than 100 cars made the journey to the new Drive-in location, the larger surroundings made for an easy and quick exit. It was great to hear Rachel Corrie, a gifted singer who ministered to us in song. The presence of the Lord was truly felt with the terrific Sermon that bellowed out from the platform and must have echoed all the way to Broughshane. A big thanks to James and Davina Strange for setting up the sound system, their help is really appreciated. Thanks also to McBurney Transport for supplying the trailer, and again thank you to all the tireless workers of New Dawn Fellowship that made the evening possible, without all your combined efforts it would not be possible to make this a success. Praise to the Lord that He has gifted our Fellowship with a team that is determined to succeed at all costs!
Thanks again to James and Davina Strange for providing the sound system this year again, this is a huge task and we appreciate their willingness to help. Appreciate the help of McBurneys Transport for the trailer, Sean Irvine and Sam McNabney for allowing the use of the Ballymena Livestock Market
